Tension was palpable in the university area when a girl student was found hanging to the ceiling in a working women’s hostel building on Thursday.
Vaishnavi, hailing from Rapur mandal of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district was a final year M.Com student at Sri Venkateswara University. On finding her hanging from the ceiling of their room, her shocked roommates alerted the SVU Police Station, who rushed to the spot and removed the body for postmortem.
According to her roommates, Vaishnavi was feeling sick and had been feeling uneasy for some time. The SVU police have registered a case and are investigating.
