Former Minister and MLC Paladugu Venkata Rao was cremated with full state honours with a 12-gun salute in a mango garden near Nuzvid in Krishna district on Wednesday. AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh, PCC chief N. Raghuveera Reddy, senior Congress leaders Kanumuri Bapiraju, K. Parthasarathi, Devineni Rajasekhar, MPs Maganti Venkateswara Rao and K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, MLC and TDP spokesperson Nannapaneni Rajakumariand others attended the cremation. Mr Digvijaya Singh said Venkata Rao was a leader of great conviction and he always spoke out his heart openly.
